I'm not sure that I will ever be President.
I'm not sure that I will ever hold any political office.
I don't even remember why I told people that I wanted to be President.
But, I do want to make a difference, and if the Presidency is how I do that, then I'm all in.
I love politics, and solving problems. That began because of my involvement in debate, first in high school, and then in college. I like looking at policy options, or how legislation could improve. There are a lot of problems, both domestically and internationally, and I think that we currently aren't doing enough to solve them.
To be honest, I'm not sure if the Presidency is the way for me to serve. I am a History major, as well as a Mass Media (double emphasis in PR and journalism) major. As of now, I am planning on being a combat correspondent in the military, possibly the Marines.
But I want to keep my options open, and so if I find myself running for the Presidency in 2036, then so be it.
I think that the future is going to be revolutionary. I think that my generation has the potential to radically improve the world. But, that is going to take leaders standing up and taking action. I plan on being one of those leaders.
I'm not sure that I will ever be President. But, if I am...
I want to be President because I believe that we still hold potential to be amazing.
