I feel like a professional introduction is the best way to start my blog, since the Presidency is meant to be professional. In reality, I would say y'all, yo what's up, or fam please, but I believe that this blog should be kept to a level of professionalism. I say that, but I will also not sacrifice my personality, so please take heart in the fact that I shall try not to be boring.
I am Emily Unruh, and I am currently a student at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. There are a lot of inter-workings into who I am, so please ask questions if you are interested.
Let's clear things up right off the bat. I am not the President. I am not related to anyone who has been president, nor do I have connections in Washington. But what I do have is a statement that I've stuck with since before I remember. Since that time, I have proclaimed my candidacy in 2036, and my campaign has begun.
This blog is about a few things, and to be honest I haven't totally decided the route that I am going to take this blog. I will discuss common things among the Presidency, why I want to be president, and possibly a "wikihow" style step by step "how to be president." So there are a lot of ways that I could go with this, so hold on- it's going to be a ride. This also means that you can get a lot of things out of my blog, so go for it and learn some stuff.
I am probably not the most qualified person, but I do have a debate background, so I believe that I am quite well versed in politics, and I have thought about being president, so who else do you want to listen to talk about the presidency than a college student? I am the right person because I have an interest, a passion and the knowledge background to talk about this.
So let's go forward, learn some stuff and talk about important things-
- (future) Madame President Emily Unruh
